"I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE OR SINCE!"
“This may not be of help to you as it’s an old sighting but I’m convinced I saw a big cat about 8 years ago in Abbots Langley. I was dropping a friend home on **** and parked outside his house facing the wooded area at the end of the road. It was late evening so dark, in the car headlights we both saw what appeared to be a big cat about 10 metres away standing in the pathway to the woods - it was much bigger than an average dog or any of the deer species found in this area. It only hung around for a few seconds before moving off, my friend stayed in the car for 5 minutes as he was too nervous to get out straight away! The shape of its outline was much more feline than anything else and also the way it moved was very catlike, I would say it was black in colour but as it was dark I couldn’t be sure. I would say it most closely resembled a panther, as far as I could tell there was no pattern or markings on its coat although as it was dark I couldn’t be 100% sure, it had a long tail. I think what stood out the most to me was it’s body profile, that added to its size is what convinced me it was a big cat. I’m a keen outdoorsman and familiar with the wildlife of the U.K. and I have never seen anything like it before or since!”

"I DISMISSED THE INCIDENT UNTIL I SAW YOUR POSTER YESTERDAY"
“I saw your poster in Broxbourne Woods and immediately recalled seeing an animal sometime ago around the Summer of 2020. I was walking in the countryside in Widford near Ware when I saw what I initially thought was a black labrador maybe 50 metres or more away. I noted that I couldn't see any owner plus it was in an area that isn't easy to walk for a human i.e it's steep and a bit over grown. I also noticed that this animal didn't move like a dog of any sort it was much more graceful much more cat like but at the same time I was thinking how can it be a big cat? I know that they sometimes escape but surely that doesn't happen often so I dismissed the incident until I saw your poster yesterday.”
